The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, established in 2008 and held every two years, is organized and managed by FIFA. The Chinese women's national youth team qualified for the first time in 2012 but did not advance from the group stage. On October 6, 2013, China defeated Thailand to win third place and advance to the U17 Women's World Cup.

The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup is a FIFA World Youth Football Championship for women under the age of 20, often referred to as the "Women's World Youth Championship" or "Women's World Youth Cup", held every two years. In 2007, FIFA renamed the World Junior Championships in Canada as the Women's Under-20 World Cup.
